The album “Legacy” saw the reunion of the original band members: Jimmy Messina (who was also in Buffalo Springfield, later paired up as Loggins and Messina, and had his own solo career), Richie Furay (also from Buffalo Springfield, who later joined up with the Souther-Hillman-Furay Band), Rusty Young, Randy Meisner (who left the group to join The Eagles) and George Grantham. WIth this much history in one room, it didn’t take long for the stories to start flying! They came together and made some beautiful music, sparking the Top 20 hit, “Call It Love”.
 
I got involved in the project when Richard Marx’ management (who had suggested Randy Meisner sing on Richard’s debut single, “Don’t Mean Nothin’”) was spearheading the reunion. See how this tangled web all fits together?
