Seger’s Greatest Hits reaches 10,000,000
I’ve earned my share of Gold records (500,000 in sales), my first being for engineering/mixing the hit, “Abracadabra” for Steve Miller. It went on to multi-platinum status (platinum = 1,000,000 in sales). My next platinum hit was Richard Marx debut album that I co-produced. There have been many others since.
But reaching ten MILLION in sales is rarified stratosphere. Having started working with Bob Seger in ’78, I was honored to receive this plaque from Bob and we continue to work together to this day.
By the way, the only other Diamond album award I was involved with was for the last album for *NSYNC, “No Strings Attached”, featuring the hit “This I Promise You”
Gold, Platinum... Diamond?!
